Urgent Update

        Summer and kids go together!

When most kids think about summer, they think about fun, excitement, and play.  So do we here at CEF.  Our summer is full of fun, happy times, excitement, and even some play.  For us and the children, it all comes wrapped in our 5-Day Clubs* and day camp sessions.  Yes, we are once again prepared to go where the children are--backyards, community centers, and even downtown Joliet.  We will tell them of God's love, we will teach them important Bible truths, sing songs, play games, and just hang-out.  Many club sites are booked and ready for us to come.
However, like Dr. Tony Evans has said, "The gospel is free, but ministry costs!"  Here in The Will County Chapter, we are facing some serious financial challenges.  Our April gifts were short about 50%, and May, had it not been for our spring banquet, would have also been considerably short.  We need your help!
Since the beginning of Child Evangelism Feloowship* in 1937, our founder, Mr. Overholtzeer insisted we first ask God and then tell God's people.  Just yesterday I sincerely asked our sovereign God for help and direction.  As I lingered with Him in prayer and meditation this morning, I keenly sensed He wanted me to let YOU know about our need.  Would YOU help?
Would YOU be able to mail us a special gift (above and beyond your regular support of CEF ministries and personnel) ?  A generous gift?  We need help NOW if we are to continue this work through the summer and into the fall. Would YOU also pray many more of God's people join you in this special effort?
Please send your gift  to the address below.  We will gratefully acknowledge it with a tax-deductible receipt.  Bless your heart, as you respond obediently to the Lord's direction and urging.  Thank you for all your help!
